On Monday, Chilean President José Antonio Kast presided over the inauguration of Elena, a battery storage plant built by the Spanish company Grenergy in the municipality of María Elena in Chile’s Antofagasta Region. The project is the largest battery plant in the Americas and is part of the Oasis de Atacama initiative, which involves a total investment of US$2.5 billion.

As part of the seminar Maule Invests: Building Today the Investment Opportunities of Tomorrow, both institutions formalized an agreement aimed at developing technical capabilities in the region and aligning local efforts with Chile’s national strategy for attracting foreign investment.

InvestChile and the Maule Regional Government signed a collaboration agreement to strengthen the promotion and attraction of foreign investment in the region.
